Woodland Park Zoo’s mission is to save wildlife and inspire everyone to make conservation a priority in their lives.

For more than 125 years, Woodland Park Zoo has gathered generations of people together to enjoy a 92-acre urban oasis, connect with animals and experience joy, wonder and discovery.

In 2017, Woodland Park Zoo reaffirmed its commitment to wildlife conservation, creating a new strategic plan and adopting our current mission statement. We realize our mission by creating immersive and naturalistic exhibits, providing exceptional animal care, delivering extraordinary educational experiences, engaging audiences around conservation behaviors and saving wildlife through more than 24 conservation projects in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.

As the Pacific Northwest’s largest cultural organization that plays critical civic, educational, economic, environmental and social roles in our region’s ecosystem, we are deeply grateful for your support and generosity. We are honored to be considered among the beneficiaries of your estate plans and the creation of your legacy that will ensure that the zoo will impact those we serve well into the future. You planned gift will have long-ranging, transformational impactlocally and globally long into the future.
